Greetings Everyone!
Wow! Where did the first nine weeks go? I am pleased to give everyone an update on what’s been happening in the library.
All classes have had a chance to visit the library several times. The students have learned the proper way to enter the library, use a shelf marker, and read quietly in the library. Our 2nd through 4th grade students are learning about the Dewey Decimal System and how to use it - they are doing a nice job.

Recently, two of our ACA parents, Lori Luley and Kelly Grissom, donated 12 boxes of books to our library. It has been like Christmas sorting through all the books! I would like to sincerely thank them for their generosity. Also, Alysson Hempen has been volunteering in the library and has added many of these donated books to the library catalog. The students and teachers have really enjoyed the new titles in the library. I have also received donated books from Lisa Kissell, Melanie Tidden, and Erica Johnson . Thanks to you all for helping our library grow. |
As many of you know, this is the first year for the ACA Birthday Book Club, and we have gotten off to a great start. So far, we have celebrated Book Club membership with the following students: Diego DeLaGarza, Ivan Edwards, Nathan Berea, Renee Summers, Brennan Cain, Darian Slabbaert, Bryce Wagoner, Connor Christensen, Sage Cox, Sean Browne, Ariana Nunfio, Karah Remi, Joshua Remi and Joshua Craig. We will also be celebrating more birthdays in the coming months. A BIG “thank you” to all the students who have helped our library grow.

Thursday, December 8th - the ACA PTO will be sponsoring A Night With Santa.
